Who needs an RTP-8 ETA Form?
ETA Renewal Lease Form is a document that was designed to be used by the owner of a residential property, acting as a Landlord to a lease agreement. However, the form is typically completed by a real estate agent involved in the lease deal and signed by the parties (the Landlord and the Tenant).
What is the Renewal Lease Form for?
The name of the form speaks for itself as it serves as a reminder about the lease expiration date and at the same time as a notice to renew a lease contract about the property which is already being rented by a Tenant.
When is RTP-8 Form due?
The Landlord is obliged to send the two copies of the Renewal Lease form to the Tenant, not more than 120 and not less than 90 days before the lease contract end date. The Tenant, if accepting the offer, should return the signed renewal lease form within 60 days after they received it. After that, the Landlord must sign and date both copies and return one to the Tenant within 30 days.
